財團法人日月光文教基金會支持學術發展，積極培養國內環保學術人才，特別設立「環保學術碩博士論文獎助辦法」，提出博士論文每名8萬元、碩士論文每名5萬元的獎助學金。
第六屆（2019年度）日月光環保學術碩、博士論文獎助，日前通過第二階段審查，本年度獲獎共計17篇，其中1篇博士論文及16篇碩士論文，基金會將於109年11月11日(三)舉辦頒獎典禮頒發第二階段獎助金。
